Capiche! is a tool to help both students and teachers stay on the same page. We realized students were often lost, maybe didn't have a question or were too shy, and didn't know how to let the teacher know what material they missed. Our solution is an app that gives students three status options: "got it", "somewhat understand", and "lost". The app then gives students and  teachers a live pie chart showing the comprehension level of the class so that everyone can stay on the same page. After class, students and instructors can go back and review an audio recording of the class that is synced with the comprehension data.

After winning the Cal Poly Hackathon, we continued to work on Capiche as a Senior Project until disagreements with the founder forced me and the rest of the team (2 developers and a designer) to abandon Capiche for another project.

My role was to lead the group of students who were on campus (the founder had graduated). I was also in charge of Marketing and building relationships with the Cal Poly Faculty to get them to trial the app in class. We successfully trialed Capiche! in 4 classes and had begun working with the school technology counselor on getting Capiche! as an approved learning tool.
